According to nongnghiep.vn, the report of the province's agriculture sector at the conference showed that in 2020 the production value of the agricultural  industry rose by VND 9,133 billion, hitting 105 pct of the province's plans, an increase of  4.18 pct  year on year.

Food sector produced  34.7 thousand tons of food, reaching 100.7 pct of the year plan. Fruit trees were planted on areas that are 8 pct larger than the plan outlined by the province. The fisheries sector produced 9,300 tons, up 7.9 percent year on year. The forestry sector has planted 10,766 ha of forest, exceeding four pct of the year plan. 79 agricultural products produced by OCOP with a 3-star quality rating and higher, etc.

As  of  late 2020, the province has had 11 more communes meeting the standards of new countryside, three communes meeting new-style rural  standards at advanced level . The number of communes meeting new-style rural  standards has increased to 47 communes among 124 communes of the province. The province has completed the procedures requesting the government to recognize Tuyen Quang city as a city that has completed its task of building new-style rural area.

In 2021, the provincial agriculture sector, directed by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang Nguyen Van Son, will focus on restructuring the agricultural sector to develop agricultural products that meet high quality and value-added  along with the plan to build new-style rural area  for  2021-2025 period, as well as  an oriented plan to build new-style rural area toward 2030.

It is recommended that forestry companies improve the efficiency of their business activities. Administrative reform needs to be caried out further, as well as activities of investment promotion need to be carried out in a new way to create the best investment climate to invite investors when agriculture and rural areas are seen as attractive destinations for them.

At the conference, five fisheries enterprises received VietGAP certificates from Tuyen Quang Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to three independent collectives along with  eight citizens for their outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement in 2020.
