eREX Co., Ltd to invest in biomass power plant in Tuyen Quang
Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Chau Van Lam on the afternoon of February 21 had a meeting with Deputy General Director of eREX Co.,Ltd Tomoki Kakuta.
Provincial leaders held a meeting with the leaders of eREX Co.,Ltd.
eREX Co., Ltd. engages in the electric power business. The Power Generation division handles power generation through biomass. The company was founded on December 8, 1999 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
Director of Tuyen Quang Department of Planning and Investment Van Dinh Thao, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Manh Tuan and leaders of several agencies of the provincial government attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the leader of eREX Co.,Ltd delivered a report on the invesment plan for some projects aimed at the electric power business. According to the plan, the company is implementing procedures for investing in a biomass power plant that will has a total capacity of at least 100MW in Tuyen Quang province. The process of building the plant will be in two phases. An estimated USD 85 million will be invested in the construction of the plant in the first phase during the fourth quarter of 2023.
In addition to the said biomass power plant, eREX Co.,Ltd will build a plant to produce biomass fuel . The plant is expected to be built in May 2023 and it will come into operation in early 2024. Biomass fuel produced by the plant will be exported to Japan, and 8 station houses will be built for collecting natural materials to produce biomass fuel.
In his speech to the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Chau Van Lam suggested that the company needs to choose a suitable site as soon as possibble for the biomass fuel plant, as well as carry out procedures for investing in the plant in accordance with legal requirements. He affirmed that Tuyen Quang province is currently creating the best investment climate to attract investors. The province is investing a great deal of time and effort in transport infrastructure improvement and planning industrial complex, creating favorable conditions for investors to implement effectively their projects.
