Imbued with Ho Chi Minh's thoughts, building revolutionary ethical standards in the new period

Today is the 133rd anniversary of the birth of President Ho Chi Minh, the great teacher of the Vietnamese revolution, national liberation hero, and outstanding cultural celebrity. President Ho Chi Minh left us a huge and priceless legacy, including thought, ethics, and a shining example of his revolutionary moral practice. He spent his entire life working for national independence, freedom, and the happiness of the people, for peace, friendship among peoples, and social progress throughout the world.

President Ho Chi Minh places a great emphasis on creating a pure and strong Party deserving of its guiding function, ruling responsibilities, and carrying out class and national goals as the creator and forger of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Clear intellect, sound reasoning, unambiguous ethics, and rigid structure serve as the foundation for the establishment and development of that function and goal.

He emphasizes the value of teaching and molding revolutionary morals there: "Our Party is a ruling party. Each and every Party cadre and member must be really infused with revolutionary ideals and possess honesty and impartial merit. We must maintain a party that is honorable, fit for leadership, and committed to serving the interests of the people.

President Ho Chi Minh is a great example of a revolutionary moral leader because he dedicated his life to serving the people and the Fatherland, exemplifying the principle that words and deeds always go hand in hand. His principles, outlook, and manner have inspired generations of Vietnamese people and are priceless spiritual assets for the country.

Our Party has continuously enhanced and continuously reinforced its leadership role, strength, and reputation with bravery and wisdom by following his directives and studying Ho Chi Minh's incredibly pure and beautiful moral example while leading the Vietnamese revolution. By providing a model via the selfless sacrifice and unceasing efforts of cadres and Party members over a long period of time.

The Ho Chi Minh era, the most brilliant and glorious period in the history of the country, was ushered in under the Party's leadership. The renovation process was carried out with many significant accomplishments, which have historical significance and affirm the country's opportunity, position, and international prestige.
The current period's causes of national construction, development, and defense impose new obligations on cadres and Party members, requiring them to continue upholding revolutionary ideals that are genuinely innovative and exemplary. The Party's four hazards are still present, entwined with some more complicated events.

Many Party committees, organizations, localities, agencies, and units have their own norms on ethical standards linked with certain responsibilities; however, not all Party cadres and members have been trailblazers and exemplary in this regard.

Political philosophy, morals, and lifestyle are all deteriorating, and there is still severe corruption and negativity in various professions and regions. These manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" also continue to occur internally. These present threats to the regime's and the Party's continued existence. This situation highlights the urgent need for a uniform set of revolutionary moral standards appropriate for the new circumstances as well as the need to develop a pool of competent, illustrious, and equal Party cadres and members.

To serve as a foundation for Party cadres and members to voluntarily cultivate, train, and self-adjust their behavior in their daily work, the Resolution of the XIII Party Congress called for "studying, supplementing, and perfecting revolutionary moral standards suitable to the new conditions and fine cultural traditions of the nation."

Current-day revolutionary moral standards must be based on Marxist-Leninist theoretical underpinnings, ideology, ethics, and Ho Chi Minh style with the following core principles: loyalty to the Party, devotion to the people; humanity, meaning, wisdom, courage; requirement for integrity; impartial merit; solidarity, responsibility; democracy, discipline; pioneering, exemplary; study, train, strive for life; and constantly adding new materials related to the Party's views and guidelines.

These standards interact dialectically and combine to form a cohesive whole, resulting in a revolutionary system of moral standards that characterizes cadres and Party members.

Each cadre and Party member can continuously improve themselves by strictly adhering to the revolutionary ethical standards that come from studying and adopting Ho Chi Minh's ideas, ethics, and mannerisms. This helps to increase the reputation of the Party organization, boost public confidence in the Party's leadership, foster unity, reach consensus, and strive to emulate the successful implementation of the Resolution of the XIII Party Congress, as well as broadly promote the Party.
